It is our great pleasure to invite you to the WCCI-ASEAN CONFERENCE (WCCI Philippine Chapter National Convention) on August 7-19, 2017, Novotel, Araneta Center, Quezon City, Philippines.
This Conference to be held in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) with the Philippines as host is facilitated with the strong support from the Quezon City Local Government. The Conference has for its theme: “Towards a Sustainable Collaborative Program in the WCCI- ASEAN Curriculum and Instruction”.
The 3-day Conference will gather together prominent speakers, education leaders, teachers and student teachers. It will highlight the best of ASEAN in view of educational trends, practices and innovative approaches to teaching. It will provide occasion for a rich cultural exchange, sharing knowledge, networking and strengthening relationships in the ASEAN.
Prominent speakers include Dr. Patricia Licuanan of the Commission on Higher Education, Philippines, Dr. Hairul Nizam Ismail of the Universiti Sains Malaysia, Dr. Tan Liang See, National Institute of Education, Singapore, Dr. Achmad Ridwan, Jakarta State University, and Dr. Allan B. de Guzman of the University of Sto. Tomas, Manila, and a host of others. Panelists from the ASEAN will share their views on the topics expounded by the guest speakers; Papers will be presented along topics supportive of or relevant to the conference theme; Advocacies will be given due attention in the SIG (Special Interest Group) workshops.
Participation: On this 50th anniversary of ASEAN, we wish to form as wide and inclusive a circle of educators as possible - WCCI members or non-members –who will work together to strengthen and forward education interests in our countries and region. We know you know other educators from your country who may be interested to join us in this endeavor, who you can reach out to in a way we never can. We will highly appreciate it if you can engage them.
